Relocation of the Editorial Office

The Editorial Office of the Journal of Wood Science will move at the end of March 2010 from the Department of Socio-Environmental Energy Science, Graduate School of Energy Science, Kyoto University to the Division of Forest and Biomaterials Science, Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University.

The launch of new online manuscript submission and tracking system for Journal of Wood Science from August 3, 2009.

The Journal of Wood Science (JWS) is pleased to announce the launch of
its new online manuscript submission and tracking system from August 3, 2009.
The JWS electronic submission-tracking site can be found in home page of the Japan
Wood Research Society (JWRS).

New "Instructions to Authors" can be available in this site.
After the JWS electronic submission-tracking system starts, the system will provided
online peer review services, and track manuscripts through the review process. Key
features include automatic conversion of authors' submissions into PDF format as well
as supporting submissions in various file formats and special characters. Upon the
initial use of the site, the authors are requested to register themselves for new
manuscript submission. Information on the submitted manuscript can be available
anytime from the above-mentioned web site.
For the submitted manuscripts before this system starts, the review and resubmission
processes will be made as before.
Manuscripts that arrive at the Editorial Office on and after August 3, 2009 will be
returned to the authors.

Agreement concerning the receipt of manuscript of Mokuzai Gakkaishi and Journal of Wood Science (July 16, 2005)

The manuscript of Mokuzai Gakkaishi or Journal of Wood Science received one week before the editorial meeting will be considered as a new submission and will be taken up in the meeting. The editorial meeting is ordinary organized on the fourth Thursday every month. The manuscript arrived later will be taken up as a new submission in the editorial meeting in the next month.

Increased grant-in-aid support to the Journal of Wood Science and revision of ITA.
|
|
We are pleased to announce an increase this fiscal year in grant-in-aid
support from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science for publication
of the Journal of Wood Science. The additional support will make it possible
to increase the number of pages for each volume. The society continues
to operate under a tight annual budget, however. After discussion by the
central boards and consultation with the publisher, it was decided that effective
January 1, 2004, authors will receive 25 complimentary
offprints of their articles. For details, please refer to the "Offprints"
section of "Instructions to authors" in this issue. We appreciate your continued
